So I reached Bhopal railways
station and went to a nearby bus stand to catch a bus. Fortunately no bus was
there so me and one more person hired a shared taxi and visited a new bus
station of in hope that will catch a bus from there. So we and a lot of people
were waiting for bus but no bus was coming. After a long time few small buses
came but none of them were going up till Indore, all were short distances only.
So we waited there for like 2 hours. In the mean time, few cars were there, but
same no one was going till Indore. In short, I was stuck in a bus station in
middle of nowhere in midnight. More interesting thing was, I don’t have any
relatives in Bhopal where I can think about staying. Hotel and lodge didn’t
strike my mind and I was little out of mind also at that time. So I had nowhere
else to go except my home. Finally a loading rickshaw was passing from there
and few drivers boarded it, one person waiting with me said, if you want to go
up till Indore only, heres your chance. I confirmed with him, is that goin
Indore. He said “Yes”. I didn’t allowed a second thought to cross my mind, just
paid 150 bucks to a Dada (that road spot/bus stand was being run by a dada of
Bhopal who takes money from every vehicle who gets passenger from there). So I
and around 3 drivers boarded that rickshaw. The drivers were so nice that they
helped me put my heavy bag and they asked is there anything fragile in it. I
said “Yes”. So they kept it under a lots plastic material safely. They also
offered me to sit with driver (inside the rickshaw), since I was the youngest
one, but one selfish man already grabbed that place and so I had to sit in open
in the back of rickshaw where they put all the loads.
All four of us talked for a while
and then they slept. I was just watching the Stars, the Moon and my
mobile-chatting, updating my pic in FB. Lemme tell you story behind a simple
pic.
When I clicked my pic and updated
it from rickshaw only. My friends and relatives started saying what a bad pic,
change it man, at that point I just smiled on them, since they didn’t knew that
the pic was taken after a 9 hour shift in front of a dumb screen plus 24 hour
train travel plus around 3 hours waiting on road and then traveling in a
loading rickshaw without proper food.
In this way I brought rains in
Indore, as soon as I entered Indore, it started raining. Fortunately that
rickshaw had plastic sheets, which we used to cover ourselves. Rickshaw driver
first said I’ll be dropping y’ll at Vijaynagar only, but then he melted and
dropped us at railway station.
Raining increased as we reach
nearer, again a favorable situation came. As soon as he dropped us near station
a taxi passed through us and asked me where I said navalakha and he said jump
in. He already had an old man with him, he asked me is it ok to drop this old
man first or you are in hurry. I said Im in my hometown, no hurry, take your
time. He took me all the way to one end of me hometown from where I just came
(Vijay Nagar) and dropped the old man and then me. When we were talking, he was
speaking pure hindi. He had a Tilak on his forehead, it seems like he was
Brahmin. I kinda liked that conversation, although I forgot our topic, but was
a nice chat.
